Language filtering

January 14, 2008

I’m currently working on language filtering. I seem to have found a very easy and practiable solution. If it works out fine in my tests, then expect to have language filtering implemented in 1 to 2 days.

    nice :) Looking forward to seeing that implemented!

  2. instead of language filtering, why not implement language translations? if you can ‘deteremine’ the language ahead of time (which you must be able to do if you’re filtering) then you could simply send the title to a google translator (translator.google.com) to get the translation. You could then modify the link to dereference via translator as well.

    I’ve read a few of the arabic articles this way, it’d be nice to know their titles before clicking on them.

    Best of luck with that one Alex. Seems like you are coming out with a new feature every couple of days. Love the new “Upcoming” news.

    @Randy:

    that would be nice but I don’t think it’s so easy to implement (to really get it working smoothly).

    BTW: I think the English feeds are now taking over the homepage (as I expected in a previous post)
